For a memorable experience, treat yourself to a swim in Log Bay near Shelving Rock.  Combine with a hike to Sleeping Beauty Mountain/ Shelving Rock Falls in the Hikes page of this guide for an epic day.  Log bay is a local hangout for boaters and picnickers alike.  It is a short, easy walk to Log Bay from the trail parking for Shelving Rock Falls.  The picture to the left is of Log Bay.  There is a trail along the bay from which you can get down to the lake in many locations for excellent swimming.  There is no life guard.  Lake George is PRISTINE!
